Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the government to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds and help them achieve their full potential. We are committed to ensuring that this funding is used effectively to remove barriers to learning and provide every child with the opportunities they deserve.
What is Pupil Premium?
Pupil Premium funding is allocated to schools for each student who:
- Is eligible for free school meals, or has been eligible in the past six years
- Has been looked after by the local authority for one day or more
- Has been adopted from care or has left care under a Special Guardianship Order or Child Arrangements Order
Our Approach
We carefully analyse the needs of our pupil premium students and use the funding strategically to ensure maximum impact. Our approach is based on evidence-based research and includes targeted interventions, additional support, and enrichment opportunities designed to address individual needs and raise achievement.
How We Use Pupil Premium Funding
Our pupil premium strategy focuses on several key areas, including:
- Academic interventions to accelerate progress in core subjects
- Additional teaching support and small group tuition
- Enrichment activities and educational visits
- Support for social, emotional, and mental health needs
- Resources and equipment to support learning
- Attendance and pastoral support
Measuring Impact
We closely monitor the progress and attainment of all pupil premium students to ensure our interventions are making a real difference. Our governing body reviews the impact of pupil premium spending regularly, and we are committed to transparency and accountability in how we use this vital funding.
